Purpose of the Position: He/She will be responsible to the Children Services Centre Director of the TAG Manyoni TZ-124 for all centre’s health related matters.
Key Duties and Responsibilities
i. Prepare and coordinate health check-up plans for children and youth supported by Compassion TAG Manyoni TZ-124 centre.
ii. Understanding of the situation and needs of children in special need and prepare plans to meet those needs in collaboration with other stakeholders..
iii. Coordinate distribution of financial, material and health care support to identified targeted beneficiaries.
iv. Arrange home-based visits and care and provide family counseling to parents/carers and children on promoting family health.
v. Monitor and review centre’s health situation and report to the authorities as it will be determined time to time by the Director of Children Service TAG Manyoni TZ-124
vi. Prepare and coordinate different plans, trainings, communications, education and other instructions aiming to promote health and nutrition status of children and families/carers.
vii. Recognize and cooperate with different actors and stakeholders so as to gain more experience and technical support aiming to promote the health status of the centre in consultation with children service Director.
viii. Shall work closely with the church management towards assisting children with special health needs.
ix. Will assist other church and centre’s staff members in special program days, specializing in his/her area of profession (health promotion).
x. Responsible to implement all agreed outcomes and their indicators as agreed by PFM.
xi. To supervise children communication with their specific donors according to the agreed procedures.
xii. Attend morning service to all workers everyday before the start of the daily duties.
xiii. Attend and participate in parents’ meetings.
xiv. Attend and participate accordingly in all staff meetings (staff meeting) twice per month or as it will be determined time to time.
xv. Perform all other duties as it will be determined appropriate by the Centre’s Director, centre Committee, Church management and CIT children service office.
Required Qualifications and Attributes:
- At least Form Six Education and attended at least one year training specializing in Nursing, Laboratory, Clinical Officer, Child and Mother Health or any other relevant trainings.
- With high spirit to engage in church service, minister to children and knowledge on protection of children’s rights especially needy children.
- A committed born again Christian living a presentable life.
- Preferably Aged between 25 to 40 years of age. Consideration can be made also for those beyond this age limit.
